Welcome to Hope Blooms! We are on a journey together. We need hope for today and tomorrow. Let the Son shine on you today. Walk with me to see where hope blooms.

Yes, my soul, find rest in God, my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:5-8 (NIV)

These times are uncertain at best. How can we have any hope in this strange season? Psalmist David wrote of life in seasons of plenty and in seasons of need. The common thread in psalms is that God is our refuge, shelter, rock, fortress. Like David, “my hope comes from the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:2) Understand this: I am stressed about world events, all of which are out of my sphere of influence. It’s what you and I do next that matters. By turning to God with praise and worship, we recenter ourselves in God’s mighty arms. We acknowledge His sovereignty over all of the earth. Our spirits can connect with the Holy Spirit for comfort and wisdom. I am grateful He is in charge and I am not. So, in these bizarre times, rejoice in the Lord. He will shelter you and me. (Hopefully, without masks!)

“Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior.” Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NIV)

Hope Blooms brings a new perspective to everyday life. Your host is Linda, a wife, mom, grandma who seeks to find hope each day. Join her on this journey through life.
